Three ways to bronze beautifully

When asked what self-tanner tops my list, I always say, “Shiseido,” referring to the brand’s Brilliant Bronze Quick Self-Tanning Gel and the rest of the SPF lineup.

I remain a big fan of these products, but, as of this week, three other products have inched their way into my stash:

Lancôme Star Bronzer Transfer-Resistant Bronzer Leg Spray. Being cooped up in an office (and following a strict corporate dress code, for some) often results in ghastly, pasty white legs. This bottled faux-glow maker solves this dilemma, leaving you with gorgeous, gleaming gams fit for a stroll on the beach—even if you’re smack in the middle of the city.

Guerlain Terracotta Sunless Tinted Self-Tanning Gel. The thing about regular self-tanners is that once they’re applied, you’re not exactly sure how they’ll turn out an hour after. Choosing a tinted version takes care of two things: one, the bronzy pigment serves as a guide as you apply, lowering your chances of blotchy spots; and two, you get a double dose of bronze from the first application, and when the color deepens as the day wears on.

Lancaster Satin Bronze Dry Oil Spray. I came across this Monaco-manufactured brand by accident during a last-minute invitation to a charity beauty sale. That means it will be a bit of a challenge to replenish. In the US, it is only available at exclusive retailers, and in Asia, only in Singapore. But trust me, one spray of this lovely complexion-booster leaves the classiest sheen on skin and an intoxicating scent that transports you to an exotic European escape filled with blue waters and clear skies. Talk about bliss in a bottle!
